The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace is a permanent space dedicated to changing exhibitions of items from the Royal Collection, the wide-ranging collection of art and treasures held in trust by The King for the Nation. Constructed forty years ago on the west front of Buckingham Palace out of the bomb-damaged ruins of the former private chapel, the Gallery was reopened on 21 May 2002 and is now open to the public on a daily basis. Royal Portraits: A Century of Photography – 17th May 2024 to 6th October 2024 This exhibition showcases the evolution of royal portrait photography from the 1920s to the present day. Discover portraits, prints, & documents from the Royal Collection & Royal Archives. Explore some of the close relationships between the Royals & their photographers as you marvel at never-seen-before handwritten letters.
